Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could just step back in time and go to the past where Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Galileo Galilei, Mendel, Charles Darwin, Louis Pasteur and other famous scientists and biologists were still alive? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to probably talk and interview them or just shake their hands or even take a photo with them?
My sophomore students in our Biology class were given an unusual task of impersonating their favorite Biologists and Scientists and for a few minutes they have to step into these shoes. They were to inform to the class in an interesting manner the contributions , achievement and reasons as to why these people became famous.
At first, some of the students were shy and hesitant most specially those who took the time and effort to really bring props, costumes, do hair and makeup, etc. due to the teasing of other students. Although there were some students who were not prepared and didn’t quite rise up to the challenge, which was a bit of letdown for me, however, I’m hoping that they can present later on.
Still as a teacher I really appreciated the way some students tried to bring to life their “IDOL”. I am delighted to show you below the pictures of the students who in their own way enlightened and thrilled us in getting to know their fave biologists and scientists. They are as follows: ( Note: upcoming pictures will be posted by tuesday)
